Pollinator Garden Tours

Tours of Chatham County Cooperative Extension’s Pollinator Paradise Demonstration Garden are led by Agriculture Extension Agent Debbie Roos and are free and open to the public. The tours take place rain or shine, and will last about an hour or a little longer depending on group size and interest. Meet on the lawn in front of Chatham Marketplace. Address for the garden: 480 Hillsboro St. Pittsboro, NC 27312.

May 6, 2017 (Saturday) – 2:00 p.m.

May 16, 2017 (Tuesday) – 5:30 p.m.

May 23, 2017 (Tuesday) – 10:00 a.m.

June 14, 2017 (Wednesday) – 5:30 p.m.

June 24, 2017 (Saturday) – 2:00 p.m.

July 6, 2017 (Thursday) – 10:00 a.m.

July 18, 2017 (Tuesday) – 5:30 p.m.

August 7, 2017 (Monday) – 10:00 a.m.

August 15, 2017 (Tuesday) – 5:30 p.m.

I also do private tours for groups of 10 or more as my schedule permits. This could be Master Gardeners, beekeeping clubs, garden clubs, teachers, schools, etc. Email Debbie Roos if you are interested in scheduling a private tour.

Pollinator Garden Workshops 

Workshops are four hours long and include a lecture + slide show, and a tour of the pollinator garden. The cost of the workshop is $25 and includes a CD of resources plus locally grown native perennial milkweed plants. Space is limited to 25 participants in each so we can have a quality tour with demonstrations.
