Capp’s Apizza is a mobile wood-fired pizza company based in Pittsboro, NC. Owners John and Wendy and their kids John Jr. and Jennifer specialize in true artisan wood-fired pizza, utilizing all natural and fresh seasonal ingredients that are produced locally. The Capps grow many of the ingredients in their own garden. You can find Capp's Apizza at the Tuesday Fearrington Farmers' Market as well as other markets in Alamance and Orange counties.

These photos were taken at the Tuesday Fearrington Farmers' Market. It was fun to watch John prepare all the different pizzas: Marinara, Cheese, Margherita, Pepperoni, Filetti, Pesto, Sweet Italian, Meat Lovers, Carciofi, and Fig & Pig! The pizzas are baked in an 800°F oven and they are done in a mere 90 seconds!

I took home a Filetti pizza (cherry tomatoes, garlic, mozarella, and extra virgin olive oil) and it was probably the best pizza I have ever had!

Visit them at the farmers' market and check out their website for more information.
