The Chatham Conservation Partnership (CCP) fall meeting will be virtual…and just in time for Halloween, the focus will be on SPIDERS!

Please join us on October 15, 2020, from 9–11 a.m. for this exciting opportunity to become better acquainted with our local arachnid neighbors.

North Carolina State University Entomologist Dr. Matt Bertone will be the featured speaker. In addition to his entomological expertise, Dr. Bertone is also a very talented photographer so participants are in for a treat when he shares his photos.

The meeting will take place via Zoom, and pre-registration is required. CCP meetings are free and open to the public (not just Chatham County residents!).

Meeting Agenda:

  • North Carolina Piedmont Spiders: ID, Biology, Habitat, and Behavior
  • Indoor Spiders
  • Medically Important Spiders
  • Spider Conservation
  • Myths about Spiders

Click here to register for this meeting. Registration deadline is 10 p.m. on October 14. Registrants will receive an email two days prior to the event with the Zoom link.
